Bent Circuits is a collection of 173 glitchy, warbly, screechy sounds from a modified Speak and Spell.
I happened to have my hands on one, hooked it up to ProTools and recorded a long improvisation. Towards the end, I also ran the classic Texas Instruments educational toy through a Moog Rogue synthesizer.
The resulting edited sounds fall into three categories: short (under 4 seconds), medium (4-10 seconds), and long (over 10 seconds). Some are similar to one another but have subtle differences. Some vary wildly.
Use them for electronic equipment sounds, computer interfaces, droid voices – there are myriad possibilities for sci-fi sound design here.
