Up to 17 mics, including 2 decca tree configurations, stereo pocket mics, stereo decay mics, multiple impact mics, etc. were used simultaneously to capture these loud and aggressive gun shots as well as the more subtle sounds of shells dropping, impact hits, and bullets ricocheting. Each microphone was recorded onto an isolated track across multiple Sound Devices field recorders at 24bit / 96kHz before being processed in a ProTools HD environment.

Microphones from the following manufacturers were utilized for these recordings: Schoeps, Neumann, Sennheiser, Sanken, AKG, Shure, Audio-Technica.
